Changing the resolution on your MacBook is easy \ud83d\udc4d<\/p>

Below are the instructions for <\/span>macOS Sonoma \/ Ventura \/ Monterey<\/b> and for <\/span>older version<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

How to change the screen resolution on MacBook<\/b><\/h2>

Procedure (newer macOS - Sonoma, Ventura, Monterey):<\/b><\/h3>

  1. Click on \uf8ff (Apple menu)<\/b><\/span> top left.<\/p><\/li>

  2. Select <\/span>System settings<\/b> (System Settings<\/i>).\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  3. In the left panel, select <\/span>Displays<\/b><\/span> (<\/span>Displays<\/i>).<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  4. You'll see a section Resolution<\/b><\/span> (Resolution<\/i>).<\/p>

    • Select Scale<\/b><\/span> (Scaled<\/i>).<\/p><\/li>

    • You will then see a menu of different text sizes and resolutions.<\/p><\/li>

    • Click on More space<\/b><\/span> (More Space<\/i>) \u2192 smaller elements, higher resolution.<\/p><\/li>

    • Or Larger text<\/b><\/span> (Larger Text<\/i>) \u2192 larger font, lower resolution.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>

      Advanced mode (display all resolutions):<\/b><\/h3>

      1. Open again <\/span>System settings \u2192 Displays<\/b>.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

      2. Hold the key <\/span>Option (Alt)<\/b> and click on <\/span>Resolution \u2192 Scale<\/b>.<\/span><\/p><\/li>

      3. The following will be displayed all available resolutions<\/b><\/span>, not just the recommended ones.<\/p><\/li>

      4. Choose a resolution that suits you.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

        \u26a0\ufe0f Caution: too high a resolution may cause text to be tiny or blurry unless \u201eRetina\u201c is recalculated.<\/p>

        External monitor<\/b><\/h3>

        If you have an external monitor connected to your MacBook:<\/p>

        • The procedure is the same, only after selecting Displays<\/i> will be displayed each monitor separately<\/b><\/span>.<\/p><\/li>
